While we are waiting for the first official images and details of the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, the Korean car maker has dropped a commercial revealing in it the SUV in its full glory. The new Santa, we have to say, looks better in the flesh than what we saw in the official sketches and preview photos.
In fact, 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe seems to have migrated from the average, affordable SUV category to the high-end, luxury class. People keep telling us the horsepower war between German automakers is a thing of the past. How, then, will they explain the new 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63, which is more powerful than ever? This mighty offroader now packs an insane 585 horsepower from a 4.0 liter V8.

In an effort to keep the disceing customers of their Maybach series happy, Mercedes has come up with a number of visual upgrades for the 2018 version of the luxury saloon. In this treatment the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class gets even more exquisite interior color combos, optional two-tone paint jobs, and a new radiator grille.
If we cut to the chase, the two-tone paint works available for the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class include armagnac brown/black and savaa beige/black. VW has been pretty busy stepping up their crossover game this past couple of years, to the extent that one would think they have forgotten about the full-size SUV segment. McLaren Special Operations (MSO) is not just about making one-off hypercar for the ultra-rich.They are also in charge of coming up with cool options and accessories for the moderately wealthy who can’t afford anything better than a McLaren Super or Sports Series. The latest series of MSO Defined options cover the Sports models.
That includes 570S Coupe, Spider and 570GT which in this treatment get a number of really awesome features not available with the regular options list. Visitors to this year’s Chicago Auto Show got their first glimpse at the new 2018 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid models. The latest version of the green Sonata offers a hard to beat blend of performance and efficiency, enough to cement the car’s position in the market as one of the top players.
Powering the 2018 Hyundai Sonata is a 2.0-liter Nu GDI four-cylinder engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission that houses a powerful 38 kW electric motor. The combined output of this system is a very respectable 193 horsepower, corresponding to an average fuel consumption of 39 mpg in the city, 45 mpg on the highway and 42 mpg combined. What’s more, this system offers 27 miles of electric driving (plug-in version) during which you can reach speeds up to 75 mph. The partnership between Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing is legendary. Every time AMG comes up with a new supercar the boat makers release a special model celebrating that car. And so now it is time for a speedboat version of the AMG Project One, and it’s called Cigarette Racing 515 Project ONE.
Right now we only have a teaser drawing of this magnificent thing to drool over, but the wait is not going to be long since Cigarette Racing 515 Project ONE will be revealed next week at the Miami Boat Show (February 15, 2018). Judging by what we can see, the boat tries to replicate the unique look of the hypercar with a special paint work featuring a silver base and black accents. The mid-size SUV segment is ordinarily where you find the boring stuff. But with the new 2018 Chevrolet Traverse RS General Motors is breathing a new life into this market, offering a nice blend of style, practicality and performance. Chevy’s design, especially with mid-range cars, has not been something worth writing home about in recent years. With enhancements in design and technology, the updated 2019 Skoda Fabia comes to this year’s Geneva Motor Show to rock the small car market. The design changes seem to have been done in a bit of a hurry to be honest, but the car does look fresh enough to deserve the title of ‘new’.
To quickly go over the new stuff in the design of 2019 Skoda Fabia, you have the revised fascia front and rear, complete with the new headlights and new wheel design, including an 18 inch option for the hatchback version. Toyota chose the Chicago Auto Show this year to present their latest range of “ultimate offroaders.” The 2019 Toyota TRD Pro Series, which include specially-equipped Tacoma, 4Ruer, and Tundra models, come with top-of-the-line features and components, some of them first-in-class.

Mazda aounced their 2018 Geneva Motor Show lineup today, and the star of the booth appears to be the Mazda6. Geneva will see the European debut of the new and upgraded Mazda6 sedan, plus the world premiere of 2019 Mazda6 Tourer, the station wagon version. 2019 Mazda6 Tourer is a remarkable car as it makes as already amazing car even better. What we have here is a practical and affordable family car with the sportiness, handling, and quality inherent in all Mazda products. Just about the only thing that might prevent a shopper of station wagons from buying this car is the design. And by that we don’t mean the design is bad. It is just not everyone’s cup of tea. Behold the quirkiest, funkiest, most interesting SUV in the market today! The new DS 7 Crossback gears up for launch in the British market where it is priced from £28,050 to £50,000. That’s a pretty wide range, and that’s because there are 10 different trims to choose from.
Whichever you go for, though, you get the special charm of DS 7 Crossback which is due in large part to its LED VISION lighting system, 3D rear lights, and the rather chunky profile. Jaguar and their Classics department have found a brilliant way to make some serious cash, and that is re-making their old legends and selling them for over a million apop to waabe cooisseurs. These are cars, mind, you can’t drive on the road. The latest is this Jaguar D-Type race car which has re-entered production 62 years after the last examples were produced 1956.
That alone is quite remarkable and makes the new Jaguar D-Type race car worth whatever it’s going to cost. But there are other factors making this thing a highly collectible item. For one thing, they are only producing 25 examples, hand-built at Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works in Warwickshire. But more important than that is the history of D-Type and what it represents.

Not to be outdone by American car makers who auctions their special models left and right for charity, McLaren sent a super special 720S to the Naples Winter Wine Festival (NWWF). This one-of-a-kind McLaren 720S MSO raised the goodly sum of $650,000 for the Naples Children & Education Foundation.
The one-off McLaren 720S MSO auctioned at the event is one of the nicest examples of the supercar created to date by McLaren Special Operations. The highlights of the car include a Nerello Red exterior paint finish (named after the Nerello Mascalese grape from the Mascali area of Castaia, Sicily); a Saddle Brown with Nerello stitching leather interior; and a custom steering wheel featuring leather and Carbon Black leather grips. And as if all that wasn’t enough to let you know you are in the presence of something unique, they have fitted it with grape motifs featured throughout the vehicle and a bespoke dedication plate.
McLaren’s partnership with the Naples Winter Wine Festival is in its second year. So far they have raised $1,130,000 for at-risk children.

The days in which SUVs were symbols of high fuel consumption and air pollution are long gone thanks to cars such as 2018 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid. These offer the same practicality and performance of a regular SUV, but with a frugal-ish engine. Of course, this much goodness is going to cost you.
2018 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid is priced from $52,100 MSRP to which you will have to add a $995 destination and handling fee. Still, considering the badge and how much kit you receive in retu for your cash, that sounds like good value. The biggest highlight of this model is the three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling-All Wheel Drive system which is basically the same powertrain they use in the NSX supercar. Here it generates 321 hp and 289 lb.-ft. of torque. The EPA rating for this system is 26 / 27 / 27 mpg City/Highway/Combined. Now, that doesn’t sound particularly brilliant, but you have to realize it’s 45 percent better than a non-hybrid MDX.

In America the 2018 Hyundai Kona is available with two engines and transmission choices. It does not come as a surprise that the 2019 Corvette ZR1 in its first track outing has done an amazing thing. After all, this is a 755 horsepower supercar. It would have been a surprise if the car had gone around the Virginia Inteational Raceway circuit not having set new lap record.
The time in which 2019 Corvette ZR1 completed a lap of the 4.1-mile Grand Course West at Virginia Inteational Raceway was 2:37.25 which is a new record for production cars at this circuit. The car was in stock form save some necessary safety equipment such as haess bar and track seats with five-point haesses. It relied for this record on its 755hp and 969Nm LT5 6.2L supercharged engine, its carbon fiber aero kit including an adjustable High Wing, sport suspension and brakes including Magnetic Ride Control tuning, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 summer tires.

The crossover segment is showing no signs of diminishing. If anything, it is getting bigger, which is why even car makers like Skoda is delving deeper into this market.
